Conceived as a standing conference, the Economics Conference is an ongoing activity within the Section for Social Sciences. While meetings can take place anywhere in the world, the main focus is currently an annual worldwide meeting at the Goetheanum, Dornach, Switzerland.
The meetings provide opportunities for independent researchers to share their work and together to derive insights of use in addressing the problems of economic life.
While such insights are expected to fructify the teaching, publishing and practical endeavours of participants, all such activity is undertaken on the responsibility of those concerned. The Economics Conference as such has no view, but its convenor does conduct an on-going survey and digest of the economic, business and financial affairs (see Newsletter).
Participation is open to anyone who in writing fulfills the following conditions: - Confirmation of membership of the School of Spiritual Science;
- An undertaking that the costs of the Conference are not carried by the Goetheanum;
- A short description of his/her practical connection to today’s economic questions.
The Economics Conference provides a forum for members of the School of Spiritual Science to work together to build an understanding of today's economic developments in the light of spiritual science. It has no view and does not advocate one.
